The Blackfoot Confederacy, Niitsitapi or Siksikaitsitapi is a historic collective name for linguistically related groups that make up the Blackfoot or Blackfeet people: The Siksika, the Kainai or Kainah, and two sections of the Piikani, the Northern Piikani and the Southern Piikani. Broader definitions include groups, like the Tsúùtínà and A'aninin, spoke quite different languages but allied or joined with the Blackfoot Confederacy as well.
The Blackfeet Indian Reservation is home to the 17,321-member Blackfeet Nation, one of the 10 largest tribes in the United States. Established by treaty in 1855, the reservation is located in northwest Montana
The nation of Blackfoot Indians actually consists of four different tribes: the Blackfoot/Siksika, Blood/Kainai, Pikuni/Peigan, and North Peigan Pikuni tribe
